As per promise I am back with aseries on start-ups and the first write-up is on Eric Schmidt and Hal Varian’s analysis on Google’s way of getting things done through the “knowledge workers”. Business guru Peter Drucker had coined this term way back in n1959 and was best implemented by Toyota. Eric Schmidt and Hal Varian’s jot down ten golden rules to make the “knowledge workers” give their best output.

The ten things that Google does to draw the maximum efficiency from its workers includeshiring the best worker, going betond professional perks to making their more than comfortable, building platform for better communication, co-ordination through snippets, making extensive use of the in-house tools, suggestion box for the employees to give in their ideas on a particular project, reaching consensus on a decision, mutual understanding, quanitative analysis of data and effective communication.

This just shows that the Ten Golden Rules adopted by Google is unbiased in approach and more than being diplomatic, Google creates a workable environment among its co-workers.
